Hog Fennel Tincture Dried Root Extract, 4 oz Herbal Supplement
Hog Fennel (Peucedanum Officinale), a perennial herb native to the steppes and mountain meadows of southern and central Europe, prefers silica and calcareous soils. With a bare, upright, and branched stem, Peucedanum Officinale can reach a height of 2 meters. Its leaves are long, slightly pubescent, and awl-lanceolate in shape.
The root of the young Hog Fennel is pivotal, but over time, it becomes sparse. Upon breaking the root, a resinous, light yellow milky juice will be released from the core. Peucedanum Officinale's flowers are small and yellow-green, and the plant's fruit is a winged, lenticular double seed, up to 10 mm long.
